Great vacation house, nice layout. Everything was very clean. Lots of dishes, glasses, etc. Everything you'd need for a weekend away. Did see a few ants in the kitchen and more by the hot tub.
Our stay was wonderful as it always is in the lovely Cypress House.
This was the second vacation that we spent in the Cypress house. Great view of many kinds of birds and deer. We'll probably try to rent it again.

We've been spending Thanksgiving at Irish Beach for 20 years, and the Cypress is one of the nicer homes we've rented. A great layout for gathering friends and family.

Best experience with VRBO so far. First trip to California, and now we can't wait to go back. Everything was beyond expectations. Wonderful management quick to respond. Small problem, low battery in smoke detector started chirping. Help was sent right away. I plan to return and stay longer, absolutely loved it!!!!

We had a very relaxing time in the Cypress house. More wildlife than ever before, great weather, played games, read books, watched movies, walked on the beach. Awesome!
Cypress is a wonderful home. The kitchen has about every pot, pan or utensil you need to cook or bake anything! We like to eat at home most of the time, so that was very helpful. The large picture windows were wonderful for bird watching and critter sightings. We had a hot water problem the first couple of days, but that was taken care of in a very professional way.
We spent three very relaxing and comfortable days at the Cypress House. The kitchen is well equipped...the fireplace is wonderful...comfortable beds...many nice amenities...beautiful views, quiet and private. Some furniture needs to be replaced.
The couch in the living room should be replaced as well as the chairs in the dining room. Other than that, the home was very comfortable.
The house is gorgeous with vaulted ceilings, skylights everywhere, a spacious ocean-facing deck and the gorgeous master bedroom suite. The house has everything one may need - from a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen to beach chairs. Beautiful fire place, great jacuzzi in a Japanese-style inner garden. And have I mentioned an access to a nearby private beach? Truly enjoyed! Will be coming back. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
My new husband and I were very pleased with how well-equiped and well-designed the house was, down to the gourmet waffle-maker! What a great selection of movies, too. We greatly enjoyed the hot-tub, walk-in shower, beautiful gardens and abundant bird life. The couch definitely needs replacing- it is so shabby it looked out-of-place. The tile in the bathroom needs some kind of slip-proof treatment. I actually slipped and fell on the wet tile our last day there. Fortunately, no serious injury, but for an older person, it could have been. We hope to come back on our anniversary next year. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home.

and a delightful experience with nice amenities. The house is well furnished and offers beautiful flooring and rugs. The owners have selected furniture and decorative pieces that make this house special. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was an ample supply of wood to build a fire during our stay because it rained most of the time. Our spirits weren't dampened when we saw some deer enjoying the meadow outside our windows. Because it was Christmas, the house was decorated with lights which made it very festive. The only improvement necessary would be a corner shelf in the master bathroom to put the soap when showering. Also, it could be slippery without a mat. We look forward to another time in this beautiful house with its unique features and comfort.
Bath mats are under the bathroom sinks for use.
Love this place. Love being here. Would like to live here. Certainly would recommend it. Set up for more than the tree of us. Well appointed for cooking. Garden, feeding many birds, watching deer, ocean from a distance, lavender, design, access to outdoors from all rooms, beds (great mattresses - would like to find out what they are and get some for our house.) Curtain/drape in second bedroom needs repair (same as last year). Can't open in to see garden in daytime. Also couch in living room has tears. (This not a problem but would be better to have it repaired.) Will stay here again when we want to visit Irish Beach.
We've been staying at Irish Beach rental properties for 7 years. Each year a different house and we love it each time we go. Always friendly, houses and properties are clean and just a wonderful place to stay. Cypress was a wonderful house as well. The wildlife on the properties are the best. The home was very unique and charming. We loved our stay and would love to go back. The deers came by and spent time in the yard. They are adorable. The beach was close by as well. We would stay longer next time.
This is a totally astonishing place for a vacation - location, wildlife, ocean view, appointments, organization, convenience, comfort, light, views. Can't say enough good about this place. Would love to come more often, even live there. Has a hot tub, you can see stars from the skylights. What more could one want?

We stayed in July 09 for a weekend. The house is one of the most beautifully designed that we've had the pleasure of renting. Wildlife outside the deck each morning, a wonderful fireplace, a great garden with hot tub... had an excellent time to be sure.
Overall the house and stay were fabulous!! Loved the house and was truly able to get away from it all! The deer came by, watched quail parents with their babies. A wonderful place to escape. A problem my kids encountered, but didn't matter to me was two of the TV's were having problems with the dish. There were also ants. Both issues, very easy to rectify!!!
Well appointed kitchen, lovely linens, loved the three courtyards, especially the secluded hot tub. All had a wonderful stay.
This is a wonderful house for entertaining. We enjoyed the area with hikes, horseback riding on the beach, fireplace and hot tub. Very comfortable!

Over the years I have stayed in several of the houses at Irish Beach. It is a great place to just get away and relax. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The Cypress house is well designed and in reading the 'house diary' the owners have taken the suggestions of guests and have made the house even nicer.
Many days there were deer in the yard and one morning a bobcat. The architecture and layout of the house were wonderful. I especially loved the open, walk-in shower in the master bath. Would definitely stay there again.
I do believe we are now into our third year as renters. We enjoy it better than Disneyland!! We will continue our love affair with the north coast in the future by always renting there!
Its a very beautiful house. We had deer come right up to us as we sat on the back porch. The hot tub was easy to use and the house is nicely furnished and in very good shape. The beach is lovely,if a bit windy while we were there.
I surprised my fiance with a weekend away at the Cypress house. I had been to Irish Beach many times with my family over the years but we had never stayed in this house. It was more than I had hoped for. The house was full of daylight with all the skylights, and had many options for lighting at night. The view was great from the master bedroom, and we both enjoyed sitting by the fire. I will definetly come back to this house again.
Great house, awesome design and lay out, I would not try and stay there with anymore than 4 people though, 3 was perfect
If this house ever went up for sale then I would be extremely interested in it! I also would like to say how helpful Kim in the office was when I had to keep e-mailing her for information about various items that I was inquiring about. She was always very pleasant to chat with and I liked how she was very prompt to reply.
